The problem is not that most state legislatures hate exotic pets. Some of them do, specifically the ones funded by animal rights groups. The issue with most legislatures is that they do not see any UPSIDE to keeping exotic animals and do not understand why we can’t get a cat or a dog like a regular individual. Therefore, ANY downside to exotic pets, no matter how slight, is adequate to ban them.

I got my two pufers about six months ago. Shortly right after them eating the fins off of my other fish, I relocated them with two algea eaters to a 10 gallon tank. Considering that that they have been excellent! My preferred fish truly lead to of all their personality. Even so the previous 4 days they have been hiding, wont come out, and are not consuming. I added salt to their water, changed food, but nothing at all. They just hide like they are scared now. Not certain why. I am quite concerned cause these are quite outgoing fish. Help!

Grays are the best, they are climbers and devote lots of time in trees. Mine loved to climb correct up my body and lay across my shoulders when I’d take them out for a walk. They’d sit stand and lay on my shoulders watching every person walking by me just enjoying the ride. I took them in to elementary schools to show them to the classes and teach the young children about them. The foxes loved it, they would sit on the table or my shoulder and study the entire class intently in no way wanting to get down or act up and they just loved to be touched and petted by the students just before we left. The very first time I did this I was totally impressed at how nicely behaved the foxes have been and how mesmerized they seemed to be by all the kids. It was like they knew to be especially good to young children.
